Sticky Wall + Letters and Colors

Contact paper is such a fun tool to use when it comes to doing activities at home with your little ones. We used our "sticky wall" today to practice colors and letters with balls! We were giving away some stuff at a used kid's store and ended up bringing home a bag of ball pit balls. SO of course, I had to use the balls for an activity.

I ended up using the balls to practice letter recognition and colors. To do that, I simply wrote out one letter of the alphabet per ball. You could do tons of different learning activities with ball pit balls. Letters, numbers, shapes, colors!

How we played our "sticky wall" game!

  1. Tape some contact paper onto the wall

  2. Make a column for each color of ball you are using (we did red, blue, and green)

  3. Write out the alphabet or whichever concept you choose to practice on your balls

  4. Give your little a ball. Have them identify the letter on the ball

  5. Take and stick the ball to the correct color column!

End the activity by taking off all the balls and throwing them at the paper! See if you can get any of the balls to stick :)
