Q-tips are a great tool to use when painting with your littles. It's good fine motor practice and a fun way to mix up your crafting.
When starting this art project, my original plan was just to make some snowy trees, but then we added a snowman and some snow across the paper. It ended up looking SO cute! I did this project with my almost 3 year old. He did a great job using the q-tip to make dots, but it did take some redirection to keep him focused and taking his time.
I cut out a few green trees (triangles). Hux added some "snow" on to the trees, and then we let them dry.
I then made 3 circles on a blue sheet of construction paper to create a snowman and he used his q-tip to make the snowman white.
He then added some white dots along the bottom of the paper to create a snowy ground and some dots throughout the sky to make snowflakes.
After the snowman dried, we added 3 buttons, 2 eyes, and a hat with black paint. (I made an outline of the hat. He just filled it in with his q-tip) Lastly, we added an orange nose to the snowman.
Once everything was dry, I glued the trees on to the picture!
