Shaving Cream Sensory FUN

Another great sensory activity that my boys did with their Abuelita is SHAVING CREAM! This is such an easy, cheap, and fun activity to do with your littles! The dollar store is a great spot to buy some shaving cream, but you really can buy it anywhere.

This hands-on play engages multiple senses which aids in the development of your little ones. It was also intriguing just how calming this sensory activity was for my two year old!

To keep it simple, put shaving cream on a cookie sheet and let them explore. You can step it up by adding food coloring to change the color of the shaving cream. You can also add small animals, cars, or toys of choice!

You can turn this into an educational activity by giving them flashcards of shapes, numbers, or letters to draw in the shaving cream. Or you could draw or write it first and then have your little do it after you.

Here is a pdf of the ones I have already created

There are also ways to make this a "taste safe" activity for our smallest littles. To do that you can use a variety of ingredients: whip cream from a container, yogurt, or whip up some whipping cream with a hand blender. Again, use food coloring for added fun! Add a peppermint extract or extract of choice to engage the sense of smell.

It really is such a versatile activity!
