Here is a fun sensory activity for your littles!! I feel like every time my sensory activity includes water and bubbles, my boys have a BLAST! Water, rice, beans, and kinetic sand or play dough are the main sensory activities I do with them. But water seems to keep them occupied and playing independently the longest.
For this activity, I filled a big kitchen mixing bowl up with water and some bubbles. I then laid out a towel and spread out some of their bath (fish) toys out around the towel. I gave them tongs and spoons to scoop up the fish and put them in to the bubbly water.
For the first handful of minutes, I let them go at it on their own and just made sure they were keeping the mess to a minimum.. :) After awhile, I asked them to fish for a certain sea animal or a fish of a certain color. This helped keep their little minds playing and having fun even longer. An easy and fun activity to work on fine motor and cognitive skills.
Here are a few links to our favorite bath/water play fish toys!
