Cotton Ball Ghosts

Cotton balls are a fun tool to use for art projects because of the sensory input they provide. It's also just something different for your littles to play with.

We are sticking with all activities Halloween this week! Today, we made ghosts using cotton balls. This project provides sensory and fine motor development with the glue and cotton balls. If you have an older child, they could also practice their cutting.

For this art project you will need:

  • Black construction paper

  • Cotton balls

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  1. Use the black construction paper and cut out a ghost. I traced the ghost using a pencil prior to cutting it out. Use the extra paper to create 3 circles for eyes and a mouth.

  2. Have your little squeeze glue onto the construction paper ghost template.

  3. Cover the glue with cotton balls.

  4. Add eyes and mouth on top of the cotton balls!

  5. If you have string or ribbon, you could use a hole punch to hang your ghost up after it dries!
