Contact paper is such an amazing tool that can be used to make a variety of daily activities around the house. You can use it to create art like using cotton balls to make a beard on Santa. Or using tissue paper to create a colorful butterfly.
Today, I used contact paper to create two different activities for my one year and two year old. I started off by hanging up two separate pieces of contact paper on our sliding glass door with a few pieces of painters tape. For my one year old, I drew a red square and a blue square. He will use the "sticky wall" to sort red and blue squares. For my two year old, I used numbered snowflakes for him to practice his number recognition. I wrote the numbers 0-15 on the contact paper. He will match the numbered snowflake with the number on his "sticky wall."
Depending on your little's age, you can add more numbers (or less) and more colors as well!
To make the snowflakes I simply printed off the documents, laminated, and cut them out!
