Christmas Tree Handprint

Here is a cute and easy Christmas tree art activity that you can do with your little! My son loves to paint his hands for projects. After we make our solo handprint for this activity, he ended up painting his own hand and making prints all over a spare piece of paper while we waited for the tree to dry! You could also switch up this project by using footprints as well. I just find that handprints are easier and a little less messy.

As always, accommodate to your needs and little's age. They could always add additional stickers or drawings to their paper!

All you need for this project is:

  • Variety of paint colors, most importantly green

  • A black marker or sharpie

  • Construction paper

  • Star sticker (optional)

To do this activity:

  1. Start by painting your little's hand green!

  2. Print it on to construction paper, color of choice, and wait for paint to dry

  3. Use the black marker to create a wavy line to add "lights"

  4. Use your little's finger to dot along the black line to create the lights

  5. Add a sticker to the top!
